TEP operates nationwide and typically offers a turn-key service, which starts with defining customers' requirements, completing a detailed site audit, commissioning lighting plans, and preparing comprehensive reporting, including business case metrics, emission and kWh reductions.

Lighting Program Delivery
We specialise in crafting tailored lighting solutions, managing every aspect from conceptualisation to implementation. Our team ensures efficient execution, maximising energy savings and enhancing environments with cutting-edge technology. Our process involves:
Qualify customer requirements for required lighting outcomes
Analyse tender responses and shortlist prospective vendors
Develop tender documentation for select vendors to respond to.
Collaborate with customers to select a vendor. Negotiate commercial terms including specific warranty requirements.
Prepare lighting upgrade plans based on selected vendors' luminaire.
Analyse tender responses and shortlist prospective sub-contractors.
Collaborate with customers to select sub-contractors.
Develop a project plan for the installation of the specified luminaire. Where multiple sites are involved - A master delivery program
Post-installation review, ensuring modelled lux levels have been achieved and all luminaries are performing per manufacturer specifications.
Prepare a tender document and invite selected electrical subcontractors to respond.
Manage induction and all H&S requirements.
Where lighting controls have been specified, we work with the customer to qualify their requirements and on installation ensure these have been commissioned in the manner specified.
Conduct a post-installation review to compare business case metrics against those metrics being achieved.
We prepare an O&M manual containing updated asbuilts, luminaire data sheets, and lighting control data sheets.
Maintain dialogue with the customer to assist where required with any warranty of remedial activities.
Chair frequent project meetings to review progress against the plan.
Review and sign off on the completion of both the installed luminaire and installation work.

The founder and Director of The Energy Practice Limited (TEP) has been active in the Australasian lighting industry for 20 years. When TEP commenced trading in May 2019, it was able to leverage the founder's experience and extensive network of contacts to immediately engage with many of New Zealand’s largest companies.
