ABOUT US
The Full Story
When The Energy Practice began 10 years ago, our focus was simple: help New Zealand businesses gain clarity and control over their energy use.
We started with practical, data-driven solutions like smart metering and power factor correction tools that helped companies understand where their energy was going and how to reduce unnecessary costs.
Back then, the goal was efficiency. But along the way, something bigger emerged.

As we worked alongside businesses across Aotearoa, we saw firsthand the rising pressure of energy prices, increasing sustainability demands, and a growing desire from Kiwi organisations to play their part in protecting the environment.
It became clear that efficiency alone wasn’t enough — businesses needed solutions that were cleaner, more resilient, and future-proof.
That’s why we expanded into solar.

Introducing solar wasn’t just a strategic decision. It was a natural progression of our values:

-
Reducing environmental impact
-
Helping businesses achieve energy independence
-
Supporting New Zealand’s transition to a low-carbon future
Today, solar is at the heart of what we do — but our purpose remains the same as it was on day one: empower NZ businesses with smarter, sustainable energy solutions that make a real difference.
